Welcome to the German-language degree programme in mechatronics (BMC)

This is an undergraduate engineering programme offered in German. If you are interested in studying mechatronics in English then please visit the webpage of our degree programme Mechatronics (IMC).

This programme is jointly offered by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at University of Applied Sciences Würzburg - Schweinfurt. Both faculties are located on the campus in Schweinfurt, Germany. The Faculty for Industrial Engineering & Management is also located at the same campus. Together, we offer degrees in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and mechatronics as well as in industrial engineering & management and logistics. Currently, about 2500 students are enrolled in these programs.

The city of Schweinfurt has a long industrial history of mechanical engineering. Companies like FAG / Schaeffler Group, SKF (both known for bearings) and ZF Sachs (car components), but also companies like Fresenius Medical Care and Bosch Rexroth (linear drives) are located here.

Schweinfurt is located close to the river Main in Unterfranken, a region that is ideal for biking, hiking, tasting hearty local food or discovering some of the many local beers. The Unesco World Heritage city of Bamberg and our partner city Würzburg can be reached by train within 30 minutes.

Please note that we do not offer summer internships.
